Forum for Human Rights and Environment (FOHREn) is established in 1994 A.D. and registered as  a non – profitable, non governmental organisation in the District Administration Office, Morang (Registration No. 366/ 2051). It is affiliated with the social welfare council (SWC No.2242), in 1994.

Since the beginning, its efforts have always been centred in advocacy of human rights, child rights and environment. Since 1997, FOHREn is focusing its activities on the issues of child protection and participation, such as reduction of child labour, birth registration; activities against child trafficking, child marriage, violence, torture, child abuse, education etc. FOHREn works for child survival, child development, child protection by ensuring ethical and meaningful child participation.
